Hair Help

Three of our friends gave us dolls in desperate need of hair help, and we fixed them up.

Here is Molly.  Her hair was in four braids and very frizzy.

Here is Josefina.  Her hair was a hot mess!

Here is Lanie.  Her hair was not very curly, and very frizzy

Molly fixed up.

Hope you enjoyed today's post!  I just mostly brushed the hair out, used Downy on Molly and Josefina, and finger curled Lanie's hair.  Sorry about promising to post and then not posting, something came up and we didn't get home until around midnight, so sorry.   Hopefully we can post something more today, so stay tuned.  Also remember to check back tomorrow!
Thanks,

Two French Braids Hairstyle Tutorial

So in an earlier post, we featured Kanani with Two French Braids, and promised a tutorial.  Today, Julie is modeling another hairstyle tutorial, Two French Braids.

1.  Brush and lightly mist the doll's hair.

2.  Separate the hair into two equal sections.

3. Take a small piece of hair from one of the sections.

4.  Separate this piece into three equal sections

5.  Cross piece 1 over piece 2 like so.

6. Cross piece 3 over piece 1.  Also, this time, you want to pick up hair.  In this picture, it looks like I'm crossing piece 3 over pieces 1 and 2, but I'm only crossing it over 1.

7.  Cross piece 2 over piece 3.  This time, again, you want to pick up hair.  The angle of this picture is really weird, and you can't really tell the hair that was picked up.  Just do what the words say, and not the picture for this one.

8.  Cross piece 1 over piece 3.  Once again, pick up hair.

9.  Keep braiding and picking up hair.  When all of the hair from the section has been picked up, braid normally, as in don't pick up hair.

10.  When you reach the end, tie it off with an elastic.  Notice that no hair in the left section has been picked up in braiding the right section.

11.  Do the same with the other section of hair.

Tada!  Julie shows off her Two French Braids.

Twins!  Well, hair-wise anyway.

This was our last post of today probably, there may be one more but probably not, so have an awesome day and be sure to check back tomorrow for more doll fun.  Remember to tell us what you think by voting on the survey to your right or leaving a comment!

Rope Braid Hair Style Tutorial

So, as we posted earlier, the Saige Contest winners were revealed today!!  You can see the winners here.  You have to scroll down a bit and click on Prize Winners.  Congrats to those 10 people!  If you entered, you can also see your balloon in a big mosaic here.  Click on the drop-down menu and find your state.  The names are then in alphabetical order based on first names.  So, on a Saige-ish topic, we are going to do a tutorial on how to do Saige's rope braid, using Julie as a model.

1.  Lightly mist the hair and brush it out so it doesn't have any tangles.

2.  Separate the hair into two equal sections.

3.  Twist both sections of hair in the same direction.  NOT OPPOSITE, SAME.  This is important.

4. Twist the sections of hair around each other in the opposite direction of how you twisted the original sections.  NOT SAME, OPPOSITE.  This is also important.

5.  Once you have twisted all of the hair, secure with an hairband or elastic.  To make this braid more Saige-ish, pull the hair around to the side of your doll's head before you separate it and start twisting.

Julie, looking very much like Saige with her hairstyle, is lost in thought.

Thanks for reading and remember to try this on your doll for a Southwestern look.  Be sure to tell us what you think by leaving a comment or voting on the poll to your right.  This probably was our last post for today, so go have an amazing afternoon.  We might post something a little bit later but probably will save it for tomorrow.
         Thanks,
