The American Girl Club

Somewhere around 2004-ish, American Girl had a club, and it was called the American Girls Club.  The club is no longer in existence, but our local library had the club handbook, so we checked it out and got a look at it.

 An idea for a craft fair

 Then it has a passage about all of the characters, starting with Felicity and working up to Molly.  This is back when the only dolls they sold were Felicity, Josefina, Kirsten, Addy, Samantha, and Molly.

 Then each doll has a list of projects, which you can do at club meetings.  There are 5 projects, with Project 1 being an event to have,

 Project 2 being a craft you can make and sell at a crafts fair,

 Project 3 being something referring to the arts,

 Project 4 being something you write/compose,

 and Project 5 being a miscellaneous activity that was common for

 people to do at the time the doll lived.

 Each doll also had a second passage about themselves.

Happy Birthday Kanani

So a week ago was our Kanani's birthday, and since we were sooo busy preparing for camp, we decided to celebrate it today instead.  Thus, a photostory for you.

hand these out at baseball games, and they are perfect for AG dolls.)

Mini Doll Monday 7/8/13

Our catalog came in the mail today!!!!   We, of course were the first ones to look at it.  Here are the pictures we took.

Molly is Retiring... It's Official

Earlier this week we had a post about the possibility of Molly retiring.  Now it's official.  Agoverseasfan got a look at the new catalog, and it includes the announcement of Molly and Emily retiring.  We have 3 Molly outfits that we still need to get; those are next on our buy list.  Everyone has been expecting this, but this doesn't make it any less sad.  Hopefully a new Historical Character?

Retiring Molly?

There have been rumors about Molly retiring, but now we think it's official.  A member of the American Girl online community heard from an AG Store worker that Molly will be retired, and the announcement will come at the end of June.  Uh-oh.  But, everyone has been expecting this to happen, since Molly is the oldest doll still produced today.  This is just word on the web, not official, but the announcement, if there is an announcement, will come soon.  We are frantically making lists of Molly stuff we need, and might need to put in a mass order for American Girl :) .   Emily's leaving too!  Hopefully this means another Historical Character.  Fingers crossed.  Just thought the news should come early, so you can have more time to prepare.  :(
